The Rev’d. Dr. Elena Thompson, O.P.
Master of the Order
Sister was elected Rector of the Congregation in August 2006. Sister Elena is a parish priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia, serving as Pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Episcopal Church in Baxley, Georgia. This parish covers three large counties of south central Georgia so the ministry involves lots of driving among pine forests, peach and pecan groves. In the Diocese Sister Elena serves on the Commission on Ministry and is examining chaplain in church history. She holds a Ph.D. in American Religious History from the University of Texas and an M.Div. from Sewanee. Via internet she serves as an adjunct faculty member for several colleges, teaching United States and World History and the History of Christianity. Her Dominican household includes a black and white domini canis, Greta, and a tuxedo cat, Jiffy.
The Rev'd. Dr. Jeffery Mackey, O.P.
Brother Mackey is the founder of the Anglican expression of the Order of Preachers and former Master of the Order. He has several decades of pastoral experience, first as a pastor in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for several years, and then within the Episcopal Church as priest. In addition to his parish work, Fr. Mackey has been teaching and leading in the field of higher education for years. He currently serves as interim rector at an Episcopal Church in New York State. .
The Rev'd. Guy Mackey, OP
Brother Guy Mackey is the Rector of Christ Memorial Church in Mansfield, LA. He holds an M. Div. from Cranmer Theological House. His ministries include a teaching assignment to the Diocesan School of Theology (Christian Spirituality), assistance at the Canterbury House ministry at Centenary College. He also has been used by the bishop as a mentor in ordination discernment. His personal studies include comparative religion, liturgics, and far-Eastern martial arts.
The Rev’d. Canon Kevin Goodrich, O.P.
Brother Kevin serves as Canon Missioner of the southeast region of the Episcopal Diocese of North Dakota. His ministries as Canon Missioner include oversight of local congregations and their lay and ordained leaders, teaching for the Diocesan School of Ministry, as well as serving as a parish pastor. For personal renewal he enjoys hiking, browsing bookstores, and a good laugh. Brother is the author of a number of articles, as well as the books: “Cell Phone Spirituality: What your cell phone can teach you about life and God” and “Plugging into God’s Story: A Practical Introduction To Reading and Understanding the Bible.”
The Rev'd. Jimmy LeBlanc, O.P.
Brother Jimmy was raised in the Roman Catholic Church, attending a Christian Brother’s School for his elementary and high school education. He was ordained as permanent deacon and served as Roman Catholic parishes as a deacon for a decade before being received into the Episcopal Church. In the year 2000, Father Jimmy, as a deacon, was assigned to Incarnation Episcopal Church of Lafayette in the Diocese of Western Louisiana. His assignment was to work with the homeless, the addicted, and the lonely. Two years later he was ordained priest and now serves that parish as its vicar. Father Jimmy is a retired professional firefighter who finished his career with the rank of chief of training.
Brother Rick Harris, O.P.
Br. Rick Harris is a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church, Montgomery, Alabama, where he serves on the vestry, leads a men's bible study, and helped form an intercessory prayer team. He has also participated in two mission trips to Honduras sponsored by St. John's. He is very active in Kairos prison ministries and in the fall of 2005 was the lay leader of Kairos # 20 at Staton Correctional Facility, Elmore, Alabama. Br. Rick is an attorney. He is the director of the Alabama Department of Public Health's Bureau of Health Provider Standards, which is responsible for the regulation of all health care facilities in the state. He lives in Wetumpka, Alabama with his wife, Wynnette, four dogs, and two cats
Brother Harris N. Rowzie, O.P.
Brother Harris is a professional mental counselor specializing in rehabilitation work out of his own practice in Sulphur, LA. He serves as a Lector and Licensed Eucharistic Minister at his home parish, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Sulphur, LA. He is currently studying at the Diocesan school of theology to enhance his ministry skills. He is happily married to Janice H. Barber (Rowzie), an attorney whose practice is in Sulphur. Brother also volunteers one week a month as a missionary in the Diocese of North Dakota working with fellow Dominican Brother Kevin Goodrich O.P.
Brother George West, O.P.
Brother George, a retired lawyer, works the front desk at his home church, St. John's Montgomery, where he teaches Centering Prayer, mentors an Education For Ministries seminar, and serves as a spiritual director. A trained Centering Prayer instructor with Contemplative Outreach, he has practiced Centering Prayer for over twenty years, and received his spiritual director's training at Sursum Corda, which is sponsored by the Diocese of South Carolina. He has an extensive background in Mahayana Buddhism, which he studied at Naropa Institute, Boulder, CO. Presently, he is reading the Bible in Hebrew and Greek. Brother George sought out the Anglican Order of Preachers because of a dream.

Brother Tom Hudson, O.P.
Brother Tom is an organist and liturgist serving a rural Appalachian parish in the Diocese of Maryland. He is a member of the Mutual Ministry training program for his diocese, and is preparing for licensure as a Preacher. Tom grew up in the Episcopal Church, then became a Roman Catholic at 18 and completed two years of seminary before God took him down a different path. He re-committed himself to the Episcopal Church and has been active in a variety of ministries over the years. Tom is retired from IBM but still working in the information technology industry. He speaks fluent French, as well as conversational Spanish and German, and has traveled extensively in his business pursuits, especially to Southeast Asia.
The Rev’d. Jerry Kramer, O.P.
Brother Jerry Kramer presently serves as Rector at Church of the Annunciation, New Orleans, Diocese of Louisiana. Father Jerry has been leading a wide variety of ministries committed to rebuilding his parish and the city of New Orleans. His efforts have been featured in several national papers and on television. Prior to this calling he, along with his wife Stacy and three children, John, Nina and Blaise, served as missionaries in Tanzania, East Africa. He holds a degree in the philosophy and theology of St. Thomas Aquinas from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas, and is currently pursuing post graduate studies at the University of St.Andrew's, Scotland. He has a passion for preaching and teaching the unchanging Gospel of Jesus Christ through word and action.
Brother Ken Murphy, O.P.
Brother Ken is a professional surveyor and carries out his pastoral and teaching ministry at Christ Church, Mansfield, Louisiana. He is a graduate of the Diocesan School of Theology, having completed the course of training to be licensed a preacher.
Brother Michael Burroughs, O.P.
Brother Michael lives and works in St Louis, MO. This year he is serving as Acting Prior of Catherine House of the Anglican Order of Preachers. He serves the Diocese of Missouri as Coordinator for the Education for Ministry (EfM) program, and is mentor of an EfM group. With his wife, Jan, he is Co-Convener of the Missouri Diocese Chapter of Episcopal Peace Fellowship (EPF) and has made an enduring commitment as an Associate to the community of Racine Dominican sisters, who are “committed to truth and compelled to justice”. He is also an active member of Veterans for Peace. In his working life Brother Michael is Managing Director of a regional office of an international executive recruiting firm, and operates his own consulting business specializing in executive coaching and organization development. In 2001 he retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as a colonel with 29 years of service. Brother Michael is an avid sailor, fly fisherman and guitar player.
The Rev'd. Michael Bertrand, O.P.
Brother Michael Bertrand is the vicar of St. Stephen's in Columbia, MS and St. Elizabeth's in Collins, MS. Both parishes are located in southern Mississippi. He attended the University of the South for his undergraduate degree and Nashotah House for his Masters of Divinity. His interest in the Dominican life sprang from a deep love of medieval literature and theology. He is married to Lydia Bertrand and currently has one son .
Brother Michael Clark, O.P.
Brother Michael Clark works in the community as a programmer/machinist for a engineering and metalworking company in Montgomery, Al. A communicant at St. Johns in Montgomery, he is a active leader of the Children's Chapel and teaches the 4th/5th grade Sunday school class. Brother has been a pilgrim at Cursillo, is active in his reunion group, and is waiting to serve on staff. A student in the Education for Ministry (EFM) program, Brother Michael is beginning his third year of the program. Upon completion, he plans to become an EFM mentor. A 10 year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Michael is the father of two girls, ages 10 and 5.
Brother Timothy V. Hushion, O.P.
Brother Tim is a member of The Church of The Holy Cross, Sullivans Island, SC. He serves as a Lector and Chalice Bearer at the Sullivans Island and the Daniel Island locations of The Church of The Holy Cross. Brother and his wife Marcie minister to and serve those, who suffer from various addictions, as well as their family members. Their ministry is called The Living Free Fellowship and it serves as one of the arms of the Restoration Ministries of The Church of The Holy Cross. Tim also serves as a member of the Addiction Recovery Commission of the Diocese of South Carolina. His present occupational vocation is a Registered Nurse, specializing in Diabetes Education at the Medical University of SC.
The Rev'd. Donald Bailey, O.P.
Brother Bailey is a priest and hospital chaplain in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is a member of St. James' Parish. He has been a parish priest in the Dioceses of Moosonee, where he learned to speak Moose Cree, and in the Diocese of Ontario. His educational background is in history and law. He also holds am M. Div. from Trinity College at the University of Toronto. Br. Don practised law (criminal, correctional, and constitutional) for ten years. He has been active in youth ministry and was the first spiritual director for the diocese's youth Cursillo movement. He loves to preach and is a student of scripture.
Brother Christopher J. Evans, O.P.
Brother Christopher is a financial analyst and business process redesign specialist in the greater Richmond, Virginia, area. In his local parish, All Saints, he serves as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and member of the Finance Committee. In addition, he serves as a missioner for the "American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem" by raising awareness, funds and in-kind gifts to assist struggling and persecuted Christians in the Holy Land. Brother Christopher is married to his best friend Christie with whom he has a young daughter named Chloe. They share their home with two Shih-Tzu dogs named Sebastian and Sasha.
Brother Christopher Hamlett, O.P.
Brother Christopher currently lives and works in Smithfield, Virginia as a nurse and has been in the nursing profession for the last 18 years. He is a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, in Richmond, Virginia. Brother Christopher sings in the choir and
is involved in in reach of the church. He volunteers for the local free health clinic and sees patients for spiritual needs and nursing homes. Brother Christopher enjoys reading, hiking and music.
